Friendship Sunday

While members and attendees can invite friends to join us at any of our Sunday services, the first Sunday of every month has been designated as Friendship Sunday. This is a time when you are encouraged to invite a friend, or more, to the Sunday service as a way of acquainting more people with Mountain Light Unity. Every Friendship Sunday will include a potluck luncheon. The next Friendship Sunday and potluck luncheon is scheduled for June 2nd. Invite a friend to share the Unity experience. They will be glad you did.

Unity Youth Education

Mountain Light Unity is dedicated to providing a quality and spiritually sound education program for the children, pre-adolescent, and teenage members of the Evergreen/Conifer area whose parents are following an alternative spiritual path away from the traditional religious beliefs and doctrine. The board of trustees is aware that our current location, while beautiful, has many drawbacks toward accomplishing that goal. Mountain Light Unity could use the assistance of its members and attendees in providing this service.

First, if any of you know of a reasonably priced site that the church can occupy all of the time, that offers enough space to hold adult Sunday service, to have four classrooms for the various age groups for the Unity Youth Education programs, provide space for CEP and other classes, to establish a church office and to permanently operate our bookstore, please contact one of the board members. This could be a permanent or temporary location depending on the members' decision regarding the Highway 73 project.

Secondly, there will be an opportunity for people with teaching and infant care talents to volunteer their time in the assistance of the classroom instructors and infant care providers. It would be advantageous to have enough volunteers to allow each to only miss one Sunday service every two months.

Those areas where volunteer help can be provided are: infant care; Unity Youth Education (UYE); Youth of Unity (YOU); Uniteens; Young Unity Adults (YUA). The older age groups can, and probably will, meet at other than church service times. This will allow both those leading the groups and those in the groups to attend the adult services on Sunday.

If you have suggestions, ideas and or wish to check into volunteering your time and talents, please contact any board member or Don Showalter. (back to top)
